Business IT support in London
Enterprise engineering delivered with small-business agility
A small business should not have to choose between a faceless national IT provider and a one-person outfit with no depth. Verge Tech Solutions gives London SMEs the standards you would see in a properly run enterprise environment: documented setups, proactive monitoring, proper backups, Microsoft 365 security baselines, Microsoft and CompTIA certified delivery. And every engagement is owned by a named senior engineer — the person you spoke to at booking is the one fixing it.
Managed IT clients get a fixed monthly fee from £299/month ↓, with a 4-hour response SLA on eligible plans. Ad-hoc clients pay £95 per hour on-site or £35 per 30-minute remote session; appointments depend on engineer availability.

Security and compliance
Taking UK SMB cybersecurity seriously
The UK government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey has repeatedly found that around half of UK businesses identify a cyber-attack each year, and that small businesses are often the softest target because they assume they are too small to matter. They are not. The work below sits inside every managed contract we run. Our cyber security field guide for small businesses sets out what changed in 2026 and the order to work through it.
Cyber Essentials guidance
We set up the controls you need for Cyber Essentials certification, then help you through the application.

Incident response plan

Who runs your IT
An engineer, not an account manager
Noman Maqsood
Lead IT Engineer
Lead engineer at Verge Tech Solutions. Heads a team of Microsoft and CompTIA certified engineers delivering IT support, computer repairs, networking and managed IT for businesses and homes across London, Berkshire and Surrey.
Meet our engineers →Most business IT providers have a support desk, an account manager and a second-line engineer. Three handoffs before anyone touches your problem. Verge Tech Solutions deliberately does not. You get one named senior engineer who owns your environment end-to-end. The engineer who answers your call is the one who designs your setup and the one who responds when something breaks.
The trade-off is that we do not scale to thousand-seat enterprises. We run about 50 SMEs at a time. What you get instead is context: the engineer knows your business, knows your people, knows which printer is the one that always causes trouble. When you call, you do not have to explain anything from scratch.
FAQs
Business IT support, answered.
How much does business IT support cost in London?
Managed IT packages start at £299 per month for up to 5 users (Essential) and go up to £799 per month for 15-plus user businesses (Enterprise). Ad-hoc on-site support is £95 per hour with no call-out fee in West London. Remote support sessions are £35 per half hour. We give every prospective client a fixed written proposal before any work begins.
Do you only do managed IT or will you take on one-off projects?
Both. Managed IT is our main offer because it gives clients predictable costs and proactive support, but we also take on one-off projects: an office move, a Microsoft 365 migration, a new network install, a compliance audit. Many of those projects turn into a managed contract later, and many do not. Either is fine.
Can you take over an existing IT provider?
Yes. We first review the existing setup, access, documentation, Microsoft 365, devices and backups, then agree a handover plan. The timetable depends on the size and condition of the environment, and we confirm it before onboarding starts.
What response times can we expect?
Eligible managed IT clients receive a 4-hour response SLA under their support agreement. Ad-hoc remote and on-site work has no guaranteed SLA and depends on booking and engineer availability.
Are you Microsoft certified?
Yes. Our team is Microsoft and CompTIA certified and works day-to-day with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Azure. We are a deliberately independent operation rather than a Microsoft Gold Partner, which means honest recommendations on when the Microsoft product actually fits and when it does not.
What if we are not in central London?
We cover Greater London, East Berkshire (Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, Reading) and North Surrey (Richmond, Kingston, Esher, Staines) for on-site visits. A small travel fee applies outside our West London service area. Microsoft 365, networks and remote support are available anywhere in the UK by remote session.
