What is Cyber Essentials and do I need it?

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed certification that shows your business meets basic cybersecurity standards. It is required for some government contracts and increasingly expected by enterprise clients and insurers. We help you achieve and maintain it.

We have been hit by ransomware — what do we do?

Call us immediately. Disconnect affected machines from the network but do not turn them off. We will assess the scope, attempt recovery from backup if available, and help you report to the ICO if personal data is involved.

Is antivirus enough?

No. Traditional antivirus does not stop modern threats. Layered security — endpoint detection and response (EDR), MFA, email filtering, patching and backup — is the minimum for a business. We will advise on what is appropriate for your size and risk profile.

How do I protect against phishing?

A combination of email filtering, MFA on all accounts, DNS filtering and staff awareness training. MFA alone stops the vast majority of credential-based attacks — if your team does not have it yet, that is the first thing to fix.
