My Wi-Fi is slow. Can you fix it?
Usually yes. Slow Wi-Fi is caused by router placement, channel congestion, interference, or equipment that needs updating. We diagnose the cause before recommending a solution.
Should I use an extender, mesh or a wired access point?
An extender repeats your existing signal, so it is cheap but often slow. Mesh uses several matching units that work as one network, which suits most larger homes. A wired access point is connected to the router by cable and gives the fastest, most stable signal. We recommend and install Google Nest, Eero and TP-Link Deco, and we look at your home first so we suggest the simplest option that reaches the rooms you use.
Why did my Wi-Fi extender make things slower?
Most plug-in extenders use the same radio to talk to your router and to your devices, so they cut the speed they pass on. Placement makes it worse: an extender in a room that already has weak signal can only repeat a weak signal. Moving it, or replacing it with mesh or a wired access point, usually fixes this.
Will mesh Wi-Fi work through thick brick walls?
Often, but not always. Solid brick walls in Victorian and 1930s houses block Wi-Fi far more than modern stud walls. The mesh units then need to sit closer together, or be linked by cable or powerline adapters instead of over Wi-Fi. We test the signal room by room before suggesting any hardware.
Can you get Wi-Fi to my garden office?
Yes. The most reliable option is a network cable to the garden office with a small access point inside it. Where a cable is not practical, an outdoor wireless link or a weatherproof mesh unit can bridge the gap. We check the distance and what is in the way before recommending one.
Do I need a subscription for my mesh system?
No. Mesh systems such as TP-Link Deco, Eero and Google Nest work without a subscription. Some brands sell optional add-ons for extra security filtering or parental controls, but your Wi-Fi works without them.
Can you connect all my devices to the new network?
Yes. We can connect phones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs, printers and smart home devices to your new network as part of the setup.
Do you work with all broadband providers?

Not always. A router move or settings fix can be enough. If mesh is the right answer, we can advise what to buy or install a system you already own.

Yes. Guest Wi-Fi is useful for visitors, lodgers, short-term lets and smart devices you do not want on the same network as your main computer.
