Why people book this
Business IT support should reduce risk, not just answer tickets.
Verge Tech supports the technology small businesses depend on every day: Microsoft 365, laptops, desktops, Wi-Fi, printers, backups, security, user accounts and business software. Managed clients get a proactive model so obvious risks are handled before they become downtime.
Dropped video calls
Zoom, Teams and Google Meet calls dropping mid-conversation are usually a sign of poor access point coverage or a congested channel. We fix the root cause.
Dead zones and patchy coverage
One router cannot cover an entire office reliably. Professionally placed access points eliminate gaps and keep every device connected.
Domestic router in an office
Consumer routers are not designed for offices with many simultaneous users. Business-grade kit handles the load properly.

Sectors we work in
Business WiFi for the environments where reliable connectivity matters most.
We have installed business WiFi networks across London, Berkshire and Surrey for clients where a dropped connection causes real operational problems.
Dental practices
Patient management software, digital X-ray systems and card terminals all need a stable, consistent connection. We understand the environment and design around it.
Estate agents
Always-on connectivity for cloud CRMs, video tours and VoIP calls. A dropped call at the wrong moment loses a client.
Restaurants and hospitality
Separate staff and guest networks on the same install. EPOS terminals on a wired backbone, fast guest WiFi where it matters.
Retail and showrooms
Payment terminals and stock management on a stable wired connection. Customer WiFi segmented away from business systems.
Care homes
Segmented networks with separate staff and resident connections, content filtering and reliable coverage across the whole property.
Clinics and GP surgeries
Clinical systems on a dedicated network, separate from guest WiFi. EMIS and SystmOne need a connection that stays up all day.
Logistics and warehousing
Wide-coverage WiFi for handheld scanners and barcode systems across large floor areas. PoE access points on a wired Cat6a backbone.
Small offices
Many offices are still running on a domestic router that was never designed for a full team. We replace it properly.
WiFi and cabling
Need structured cabling too? We handle both in a single visit.
Rather than coordinating two separate contractors on different days, we run the cabling and install the access points in one visit — one team, one invoice.
Cat6 and Cat6a cabling
Clean cable runs to each access point, wall socket or switch position. Cat6a where PoE++ access points are installed.
Patch panels and cable management
Professional termination and labelling throughout.
Short-distance multimode fibre
Switch-to-switch and floor-to-floor fibre runs where required.
One visit, one sign-off
Everything tested together before we leave. No return trips to finish what another contractor started.
FAQs
Questions people ask before booking.
How much does a business WiFi installation cost?
Most small offices with two access points start from around £400 fitted, including equipment and configuration. Larger installs are quoted after the free site survey. There is no call-out fee for the survey.
What WiFi equipment do you install?
We install Ubiquiti UniFi and TP-Link Omada access points — commercial-grade kit designed for business environments. Both systems support centralised cloud management so we can monitor and update your network remotely.
What is the difference between home WiFi and business WiFi?
Business WiFi uses dedicated access points rather than a single router. Each access point covers a specific zone and passes devices between zones without dropping the connection — something domestic routers cannot do reliably across an office.
Can you set up a separate guest WiFi network?
Yes. A separate guest network is standard on every business installation. Guests get internet access while your internal systems stay private and secure.
Do you work with our existing internet connection?
Yes. We work with whatever broadband or leased line you have in place. If the connection itself is the bottleneck, we will tell you at the survey stage.
How long does a business WiFi installation take?
Most single-floor offices take half a day. Multi-floor or larger commercial premises take a full day. We give an accurate time estimate at the survey stage.
