Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a call-out fee for engineer visits?
No, we do not charge a call-out fee. You are only charged for the engineer’s time spent diagnosing or resolving the issue. Any applicable charges will be explained clearly before work continues.
How quickly can you come out?
We often have same-day availability, depending on your location and the time of day. Book online or call us, and we’ll let you know the next available slot.
What if the problem can't be fixed remotely?
If the issue cannot be resolved during a remote support session, we will arrange an on-site visit at a time that suits you. The remote session is still chargeable, as it allows us to diagnose the problem in advance, confirm the root cause, and ensure the engineer arrives on-site fully prepared with the right tools or parts. This helps reduce on-site time and avoids unnecessary follow-up visits.
Do you charge if I decide not to proceed after the quote?
Yes. Time spent on diagnostics, remote support, or on-site assessment is chargeable, even if you choose not to proceed with the quoted work. This time is used to identify the issue, assess the solution, and provide an accurate quote.
Do I need to be present during a home or office visit?
Yes. We ask that you or a designated adult or staff member is present during home or office visits. This allows us to confirm the issue, obtain any required access or permissions, and explain the work carried out once the job is completed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept card payments (including contactless), bank transfers, and cash. Payment is taken upon completion of the work. Business clients can either pay on completion or request an invoice, subject to agreed terms.
